Summary
In Episode 51, we welcome special #Uncredible guest Lex Lutheran (@Lex_Lutheran) to the program. We kick things off discussing human adaptation to hot and cold environments as we shoot the non-existent breeze about how hot it has been.
Next, we talk about the differences between Lutherans, Presbyterians, Catholics, and Baptists. We zero in on the Lord’s table and discuss the different views of the presence of Christ in the Sacrament.
We follow that up with a discussion that Lex and I have had time and again on Twitter regarding the dividing line between too much love and too much grace. On the one hand, we agree that too much love can lead to poor choices, and on the other hand too much law can lead to pride and arrogance.
Ultimately, we agree that a loveless Gospel is no Gospel at all, and a Gospel that ignores the practical use of the law misses the point of the Gospel altogether.
Last, I ask Lex to recco some books by some well known Lutherans.
