To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
-Jude 1:24-25
Doesn’t this verse make your heart soar with hope? As Dr. Snyder says, “it is the entire gospel in a nutshell.”
He continues, “A great part of keeping up prayer in the face of great odds or discouragement is the confidence that things will work out in our favor at the end, and that the end is not in our control anyway. What this little verse is saying is that God finds us just where we are, then picks us up and carries us through life in his protective hands, sustaining us all the way by his own power, then sets us down at the end in his presence as acceptable in his sight. It is he alone who ushers us into his kingdom and presents us before his glorious presence as without fault and with great joy.”
TODAY’S PRAYER: As you pray over the long haul, ask God to teach you to relax in his arms knowing that he is busy carrying out his plan to bring you to his everlasting safety and joy.
