But in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
–Hebrews 1:2-3
This is a beautiful passage and is a wonderful reminder of who Jesus is and why we pray in his name.
Dr. Snyder also reminds us of the importance of Jesus’ name: “We are praying in his name, by his authority and by his power, and God hears our prayers because Jesus has paved the way for our access into the presence of God. It is no small matter to pray in Jesus’ name, for it releases the greatest power known on earth. Let this fact take center stage: no great event of nature (hurricane, tornado, earthquake, or tsunami) or power of science can even begin to compare with the unimaginable power under the control of Jesus, the Son of God. This power can be unleashed through the simplest prayer of the humblest believer.
“…Believe that your prayer has the potential of transforming and renewing your life in the most amazing ways to the glory of God.”
TODAY’S PRAYER: As you are praying in the name of Jesus, always remember the indescribable glory of his stature and power. Pray that God will not permit you to fall for the world’s desperate and unceasing attempt to lower him in your eyes.

Angie, I’m glad you are finding Dr. Snyder’s comments helpful as you pray your 100 day prayer. I, too, find them a blessing each day and trust that others are growing in their faith as they continue with their 100 day prayer. Have a blessed Easter!
