Leaving the 99 in search of the 1: Welcome to the Hope for the Journey Podcast.
Trials can be found all throughout Scripture, yet you would think it was unbiblical the way many believers react to them. The prevailing culture that we’re in now, that champions comfort and ease, has distorted our way of seeing trials for what they are and what they are meant to accomplish. We’ve become so focused on temporal, earthly happiness, that trials have become an extreme inconvenience. They aren’t supposed to happen, and when they do we get frustrated and agitated. Trials have begun to bring out the worst in us rather than build in us the necessary traits to live a life worthy of the calling that we’ve been called to by God.
