Acts 6:8-15, Pt. 2. Stephen got picked by the church to help serve people who’d been getting overlooked in church, but he was a pretty remarkable guy, and it wasn’t long after his appointment that he started to develop a reputation as a key mind in the early church. In fact he was so irritatingly sharp that aggravated his Greek brethren to the point that they decided to get him in trouble with the law since they couldn’t beat him in an argument. All the guy was doing was good stuff, so what’s their gripe? As Stephen is forced to answer to the Sanhedrin, questions loom. Are we looking at another miraculous release from prison? Maybe another flogging? Or maybe something worse?
