This week we talk about redemption. What is redemption and how does it look in our culture today? Can we redeem anything and is it worth while? We look at Lord of the Rings to see what redeeming aspects there are in it and how we can apply that to our true reality today.
Also, we look at the Christ figures in LOTR in the forms of Prophet (Gandalf), Priest (Frodo), and King (Aragorn)—how these characters resemble Christ and the message that Tolkien was conveying through them in his middle-earth depiction of our world that we live in.
Join us next week with guest, the Dwight Schrute of The Art of Redemption as we discuss consumation in the Christian meta-narrative .
