Ep. 028.2 – Cloud Atlas, Yellow Fellow, and Convenient Relativism

This week we talk about the post-modern themes hidden in the 2012 movie staring  Tom HanksHalle BerryHugh GrantCloud Atlas.

We also describe a painting by David Salle titled Yellow Fellow and address its postmodern tendencies.

Relativism is the topic of the day and we talk about how it comes out in both the painting and the movie. How is it that this world-view affects us and our way of thinking?

A message titled The Challenge of Relativism by John Piper found at Desiring God really nails down some of these ideas and really sums up what we were talking about today. Listen to it and see how you feel about it.
