Acts 8:1-3. Stephen got murdered by a mob of religious leaders, and the floodgates opened. Saul took the lead in rounding up Christians, and the young church was forced to get outta Dodge.
For the first 40 years of the church persecution came from the Jews, but after that the Romans took over and perfected the art. In this episode I offer a lightning summary of the major Roman persecutions of the early church in addition to, you know, talking about the passage in Acts that’s up next.
Matt Whitman believes in God and thinks things are funny.
