This episode is a little bit different. Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in a preaching class through my church, and, at the end of it, I presented a sermon that I put together. I chose to give it on the beginning of Psalm 34, a psalm that I spent a lot of time in during some recent struggles in my life.
I hope you will take the time to listen to this sermon and hear three things:
- Worship is something we are called into every day, in every circumstance.
- Worship is the best response anyone who trusts in Christ can turn to in the face of the world’s darkness.
- We worship best in our boasting in and remembrance of God’s past promises and his future fulfillment.
Against such biblical truths, neither the world’s temptations, the enemy’s hatred, nor the flesh’s desires can hope to achieve success. We worship our Lord and love him knowing that he has promised to save and bless us, and we know he will fulfill his promises.
