The Art of Redemption Episode 023.6 Mysticism in Star Wars: Mysticism Series Closer Part 6

star wars

As we close out this series on Mysticism, we take a look into the multi-million dollar money maker series of the Star Wars franchise and talk about the underlying worldview given in these movies, but also how they can’t hold true to that worldview to the end.

Also, Cody has some sort of epiphany about Star Wars he has never realized before, thanks to doing this podcast and really thinking about what it is goes into our eyes and mind.

When we look into this movie series we can see that there is the good side (light) and the bad side (dark) and they battle in these movies but the light always wins. Why is that? It is not consistent with  the ideal and worldview even adhered to by the characters in the movie. They cannot hold to this worldview because it would make bad film.

We talk about a specific idea in a conversation between Yoda and Anakin Skywalker that love leads to attachment, attachment to fear, fear to jealousy, jealousy to anger, anger to the dark side. Love is what leads Anakin to the dark side but also what draws Darth Vader back from the dark side. A confusing and inconsistent idea we hash out.
