Judah Smith wants you to know that Jesus is not your judge? But is that true? Or is that simply what a guy on stage is telling you? Does the Bible actually put Jesus forward as Lord? Is Jesus depicted as a ruling and reigning king, or is he a passive, non-judgmental, teacher of love?
If Jesus is a ruling and reigning king (Psalm 2, 110), then it is of significant importance whether or not Jesus will stand as your judge. If you don’t think so, then allow the United Methodist Church and Nadia Bolz-Weber to display for you what happens when Jesus no longer stands as Lord and is no longer the one to whom you will give an account.
