The Zombie Apocalypse Series – Part 1: Why the Zombie Apocalypse is Such a Scream

This week kicks off a new series on Post-Apocalyptic art, focusing on AMC’s raving TV series The Walking Dead. But before we get into the show, we begin by analyzing some key points about zombies and Post-Apocalyptic art.

We read a handful of poems along with quotes from Alissa Wilkinson and Robert Joustra‘s new book,  How to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse: Zombies, Cylons, Faith, and Politics at the End of the World, that really tackle the essence of what we will be covering over this month’s series.

As we dive into the content, we talk about the poems and how they do or don’t reflect reality, and how they fit into the genre of Post-Apocalyptic art.
Listen in as we start to direct and dig deeper into what lies beneath the surface of a zombie…
