God Loves Eunuchs: TMBH 37

Acts 8:26-40. Admittedly stuff got a little weird when Simon tried to buy God’s power and then got told off by Peter, but all told, the Gospel’s first foray beyond the boundaries of Judaism went pretty dang well. Philip was the guy who spearheaded that effort and now he’s on to his next adventure which leads him to a mostly empty country road in the middle of the Negev. Craziest thing though—there’s an Ethiopian eunuch traveling with an escort there who’s been reading the book of Isaiah and has questions about God and the messiah. What are the odds of that?

Samaritans I could see, because they’re sort of Jewish, but is the message of God’s grace for people from a distant land on another continent too?

Hint: Yep.
